Pastor Kirk and Joyce

Kirk has been the Sr. Pastor (Lead Pastor) at LCC since 1992.  Erwin Lutzer, of Moody Church says of Kirk “He is the most transparent person you will ever meet.  What you see is what you get. You never have to second-guess what Kirk says, or what he is thinking, nor will he second-guess you.  He thinks the best of everyone and is a true servant-leader.”   Kirk is passionate about preaching, teaching, healthy marriages, and helping churches become effective.  God has used him to mentor other pastors, help new churches get started, and train  leaders.

Joyce has served in many different ministries at LCC over the years and she serves the community through her work at the Mt. Prospect Public Library.  Currently she serves on the Leadership Team, Worship Team and in the nursery.  She is passionate about discipling others, caring for young couples, and making sure we do our best in ministry

Robert

BobIn 1988, I was well into my adult years when I was confronted with the truth of the Bible and about Jesus, and I accepted His claim on my life.  A few years later I met my wife, Ardis, at a church, and together we discovered the young adult group at Life Community.  However, we married, raised our three children, and served in ministry at our church home in Chicago for twenty years.

In 2013 we reconnected with Life Community Church and became members.  I enjoy the men’s Bible study, the opportunity for discipleship relationships, and sharing my hope and excitement in Jesus with any the Lord brings my way.

I am a route sales distributor by occupation.  The athletic pursuits of my school years have found a passionate outlet in golf.  My greatest fulfillment by far, though, is the meaning and purpose I have found in knowing and following after Jesus Christ.

Leadership:

Carol

I have attended Life Community Church for about 30 years and am currently a Sunday School teacher, a worker in the Nursery, coordinator of the Prayer Chain, and a deaconess.

I have been leading a group of ladies in First Place 4 Health for several years. First Place 4 Health is a Christ-centered health program that emphasizes balance in every area of our lives.

We meet weekly to study God’s word and  encourage each other to lose weight and exercise.

Marlene

I’ve been a member of Life Community Church since 1959.  During the years since then, my greatest involvement has been in missions and children’s ministries, e.g. VBS, Sunday School, children’s church.

Deb

I’ve been a member of Life Community Church since 1982. Over the years I have been involved in various ministries including a number of music ministries, short term missions trips and leading Bible studies. Currently I co-lead one of our Life Groups and organize our Worship ministries.  I am so thankful for a church that is also my family and for the opportunities God has given me to grow in my relationship with Him and to help others do the same.

Chris

I started attending Life Community Church when I was in high school.  Over the years I have mainly been involved in working with teenagers, in music ministries, and in small group Bible Studies.  I enjoy ministering to people overseas and in the Mount Prospect community.  I feel blessed to serve in a church where I am encouraged to use the gifts that God has given me.
